Everton manager Frank Lampard admits that his side needs to sign a striker.
The Toffees have lost Richarlison in the summer transfer window to Tottenham.
They are also rocked by news that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be out with a knee injury for the start of the new season, while Salomon Rondon is serving a suspension.
Asked about transfers and the forward position in particular, Lampard told reporters: "We obviously lost Richarlison. He was versatile across the front as well.
"We're very aware of the areas that we want to strengthen.
"Going into the first game with Salomon [Rondon] suspended as well makes it pretty clear that that might be one of the areas we look at."
