Domenico Berardi was happy to renew his contract with Sassuolo.
The striker spoke after victory over Lecce.
He said, "A few years ago I had the opportunity to go away, but I never took the step because maybe I was young and I didn't push myself.
"For three years now I have always tried to leave but I am honest and I have never found a right team that wanted me.
"So I decided to renew with this family, because they raised me since I was a child and I couldn't do anything else."
