Rice and West Ham reach 'gentlemen's agreement' over future move

West Ham United and midfielder Declan Rice have come to a 'gentleman's agreement' on his future.

The defensive midfielder is a long-term target for both Manchester United and Chelsea.

However, talkSPORT states that he will not be leaving the club this summer.

West Ham have spoken with Rice and his representatives, and they have agreed to sell him for a specific fee next summer.

The outlet's journalist Alex Crook says Chelsea are the favourites to sign him in the summer of 2023.

Rice will be West Ham captain next season, but is not signing a new contract at the club.
