Why we drew 1-1 with Tottenham – Klopp

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has said it is impossible to beat a “world-class” Tottenham Hotspur side that is well-rested

The Reds suffered a blow to their hopes of winning their Premier League title, following a 1-1 draw with Spurs at Anfield.

Luis Diaz’s deflected strike cancelled out Son Heung-Min’s opener with just over 15 minutes left, to ensure both sides share the points.

The result leaves Liverpool level on points with Manchester City and above them on goal difference at the top of the Premier League.

However, City now has a game in hand, at home to Newcastle United on Sunday.

“It is incredibly difficult to play against an opponent with world-class players and a world-class manager when they have had a week to prepare and we play every three days,” Klopp said.

“The dressing room is not flying, come on, but there are other games to play. We just have to keep going.”
