Man Utd’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League confirmed

Manchester United will not play in the Champions League next season.

This follows their 4-0 defeat at Brighton on Saturday evening.

The result ensures that the Red Devils cannot mathematically finish in the top four this campaign.

Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Pascal Gross and Leandro Trossard all scored for the hosts in a second-half blitz.

United now has 58 points with only one fixture left.

This means the highest number of points they can accrue is 61, which will be their lowest in the history of the Premier League.
