UCL: Tuchel names Real Madrid player he’d like to have in Chelsea squad

Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has named striker, Karim Benzema as the Real Madrid player he would like to have in his team.

Tuchel said this during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, ahead of Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge.

Asked the Real Madrid player he would like to have in his team, Tuchel said: “Karim Benzema.

“Two years ago, I think he was one of the most underrated players in world football, and maybe not anymore.

“He absolutely deserves everything that has happened to him, he has been the number nine for Real Madrid for many years, and that speaks for itself. And how he carries responsibility in the last stage for them.”

“What a key part he plays for them as a captain now. It is very impressive. You can see what can happen to a team in his absence from the Clasico,” he said.
