Six key players will not feature in the Manchester United squad to face Chelsea in Thursday’s Premier League tie at Old Trafford.
Man United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick confirmed on Wednesday during his pre-match press conference that the likes of Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho, Fred, Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw will not feature against Chelsea.

“Fred is unfortunately not yet available [for the Man United vs Chelsea game],” Rangnick said.
He tried to train yesterday but after training, I had a long conversation with him and he just told me that he does not feel fully fit. I don’t think it makes sense, with the muscular injury that he had, to play him too early, So he won’t be available, unfortunately, tomorrow.
“And apart from that, we’ve Harry Maguire who isn’t available. He has some issues with his knee, not a big thing – some niggle in his knee. He has not been training, neither yesterday nor today.
“Paul obviously, Fred, Edinson, Luke Shaw and Jadon – Jadon is ill, he has had tonsillitis since yesterday, could not train today and will also not be available tomorrow.”
