Fabinho failed when trying to copy Konate’s goal celebration

Liverpool faced off against Benfica in their Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday evening.

The Reds went into the game in Portugal as the heavy favourites.

Jurgen Klopp made a number of changes from the side that beat Watford on Saturday.

Ibrahima Konate was one player that came into the side and he broke the deadlock at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Andy Robertson swung in a menacing corner in the 17th minute and Konate rose highest to produce an unstoppable header.

The Frenchman was delighted after scoring his first goal for the club.

Konate ran towards the corner and did a perfect knee-slide. He was closely tailed by Fabinho, who attempted to do the same.

However, the Brazilian miserably failed when trying to pull off the knee-slide.

Fortunately, Fabinho didn’t suffer an injury and got back to his feet unscathed with a massive smile on his face.
