Chelsea vs Real Madrid: Luis Garcia predicts winner of Champions League quarter-final tie

Former Liverpool winger, Luis Garcia has given his prediction for Chelsea’s Champions League quarter-final tie against Real Madrid on Wednesday night.

Chelsea will host Real Madrid in the Champions League last-8 first leg tie at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues head to the match after losing 4-1 against Brentford in the Premier League over the weekend, while Real Madrid defeated Celta Vigo 2-1 in the LaLiga.

But Garcia believes Thomas Tuchel’s side are favourites to win the tie against Real Madrid because of the squad they have.

“It is a big one but it is so weird to talk about this game after the result we have seen,” Garcia told CBS Sports Golazo.

Garcia added: “But this weekend really concerned me with how the midfield was not working, not creating, not building up, they struggled so much against Celta Vigo.

“On the other side, with Chelsea, you don’t know what you are going to get.

“But I think Chelsea [are favourite to win] because of the squad that they have, the rotation Tuchel has been doing can help more if they arrive at the last third of the game, but if you are going to play Real Madrid, you don’t know what Real Madrid you are going to face, difficult to call we all see tomorrow but I think Chelsea are favorites.”
