Nigeria vs Ghana: William Troost-Ekong makes honest confession ahead of tie in Abuja

Super Eagles centre-back, William Troost-Ekong has made an honest confession ahead of Nigeria’s 2022 FIFA World Cup second-leg playoff against the Black Stars of Ghana.

Nigeria will host Ghana at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday evening.

The Super Eagles drew 0-0 against Ghana in the first leg on Friday in Kumasi.

Speaking ahead of the second leg tie, Troost-Ekong admitted that the Super Eagles players are under pressure ahead of the Ghana clash on Tuesday.

The Watford star said, “We are always under pressure playing for Nigeria every time we are putting on the shirt and representing millions.

“We know how much it means for us and for our families.”

He added, “Going to Kumasi and getting a draw, I think it was not a bad result and come Tuesday, we are hoping to secure the ticket.”
