Ralf Rangnick names four players who helped Manchester United defeat Burnley

Manchester United interim boss, Ralf Rangnick has identified four players for special praise after his side’s Premier League 3-1 win over Burnley on Thursday night.

Man United defeated Burnley at Old Trafford, thanks to goals from Scott McTominay, Ben Mee (OG) and Cristiano Ronaldo as Aaron Lennon’s goal was not enough for the visitors.

Rangnick was pleased with his side’s performance after the game and picked out Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani for praise, insisting that their work rates were amazing.

“As expected, it was a very tough physical game against a team who plays very physically,” Rangnick told Amazon Prime.

“We also showed the qualities we have in our team. It was important today to raise the energy level.

“The whole team’s performance was a lot better, I was pleased with the performances of our wingers. Jadon did well and Mason. Eddie and Cristiano, the work effort was amazing.”

The result means Man United are now in the 6th position on the log, with 31 points from 18 games.

Man United’s next Premier League game is against Wolves on Monday.
