January 2019/20 Transfer: How the Premier League clubs fared

A rather quiet transfer window that commenced on New Year Day has closed exactly 12:00am on Saturday, February 1st, 2020.

The Premier League club completed about 180 deals costing about £250m.

Manchester United claimed transfer “bragging rights” with the signing of mercurial Bruno Fernandes for a whopping £46.5m, and a late capture of former Super Eagles goal machine, Odion Ighalo on a six-month loan.

Chelsea, Bournemouth and Manchester City were the teams who didn’t welcome new faces. Someone had posited: Perhaps the blues had forgotten their transfer ban had been lifted;
