"I Play To Win" - Jose Mourinho Responds To Arsenal Job Links

Former Manchester United Coach Jose Mourinho has explained how he wants his next job to be after months without working. The Portuguese was sacked by Manchester United im December 2018 and is yet to secure a new job ever since.

He has been linked with a move to Arsenal amid the ongoing pressure of coach Unai Emery at the club in recent weeks.

However, Mourinho has now revealed he knows what exactly he wants for his next job at any club across the country.

“The only thing that I know is what I don’t want, and what I don’t want is crystal clear, Mourinho told The Coaches’ Voice.

“What I want, the general profile of course, but I can’t say clubs orcountries.

“I am quite pathological in this sense that I have to play to win, and then if I win or I don’t win that’s my problem, and the players’ and the club’s and the structure.

“But I need a project where the feeling is I play to win.

“If someone gives me a wonderful, incredible, amazing, 10-year contract and tells me ‘the objective of the team is to stay in the first part of the table, if you finish seventh or eighth or ninth it is perfect, that’s not for me.

“That’s my nature. Of course, sometimes I remember what I won before, but it’s not me, so my next is to fight to win.”

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas sent shockwaves through world football earlier this month when he revealed Mourinho had turned down the Ligue 1 club because he’d already found his next job.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have also been earmarked as potential destinations, but for now Mourinho is continuing to get his football fix through punditry with Sky Sports.
