Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned Player of the Year at
the Globe Soccer Awards which took place at the Madinat Jumeirah in
Dubai on Thursday night.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was
named ahead of French footballers Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann to
pick up the award for the fifth time.
The Portuguese footballer
who attended the event with fiancee Georgina Rodriguez and son
Cristiano Junior, said: 'What better way to start the new year. Thanks
for the appreciation and the care that I have received today.'
Other winners were Best Coach of the Year Didier Deschamps and Brazilian legend Ronaldo, who received a Player Career Award.
