The Nigeria Amputee Football Team begin their final camping today at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Hostel Lagos.
This is following the approval of the executive director of Lagos sport commission,Dr kweku Tandoh.
Dr Tandoh said that the approval of the facility is as part of the commission's support for the team.
The camping is a build up to the forth coming Amputee football world cup bill to take place in Mexico.
A total of 19 Players have been invited to the camp,out of which 13 players and two goalkeepers will make the final cut.
Also,the
team is said to train twice daily at the Legacy Pitch in National
Stadium, Lagos, to get used to the synthetic turf which will be used at
the World Cup.
However,with
camping sorted, the real challenge is raising of funds to provide
their flight tickets and upkeep during the World Cup slated from
October 24 to November 5 in Mexico.
Meanwhile,the
team who had missed three previous editions due to lack of financial
support,solicit for more support to enable them attend the fourth
edition of the world cup.
