The Mexican embassy has written to confirm the visa process of the Nigerian Armputee team, appointment scheduled for next Tuesday, October 16 in Abuja.
This is following their participation in the Armputee world cup tournament that is billed to take place in mexico.
The trip which is made up of 20 players and officials, will see them l take responsibility for their accommodation and feeding for the duration of their stay in the World Cup.
Players will therefore temporarily break camp to depart for Abuja on Monday, Oct 15 and return to Lagos on Wednesday October 17 to continue their camping.
The visa appointment is mostly for the purpose of capturing their biometrics after which the visas will be issued.
Also, the players are saddled to journey by road as the team cannot afford a domestic flights under the circumstance to the detriment of saving funds to make up their flight to mexico, as the funding for their journey will be drawn from donations made so far.
The problem however remains gathering the funds to pay for their flight and a few other critical logistics to launch themselves into the global Amputee sports circle and avoid the suspension of Nigeria Amputee Football from all international competitions, should they fail to attend the Amputee Football World Cup for the 4th time.
