Dakota Ditcheva made a stunning return from injury with a dominant unanimous decision victory over Denise Kielholtz at PFL New York.
Fighting for the first time in just over a year after breaking her left hand, Ditcheva extended her unbeaten professional record to 16-0, reminding fans why she is regarded as one of Britain's brightest MMA stars.
The 2024 PFL flyweight champion controlled the contest from start to finish, outlanding Kielholtz 102-64 in significant strikes. Although she was unable to add to her impressive tally of 12 career knockouts nine of them first-round finishes her technical superiority was evident throughout the bout.
The victory further cements Ditcheva's status as one of the PFL's biggest stars, coming just days after the promotion's merger with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). MVP co-founder Jake Paul was cageside at UBS Arena to witness the performance.
After a frustrating year in which a broken left hand and a subsequent injury to her right hand delayed her return, the 28-year-old looked as composed as ever. Wearing a relaxed smile during her walkout, Ditcheva quickly settled into her rhythm, using her height and reach advantage to keep the experienced 37-year-old Dutch fighter at distance with a series of precise, long-range kicks before cruising to a deserved victory.
