Leeds United have completed the signing of Bosnia and Herzegovina defender Tarik Muharemovic from Italian club Sassuolo in a deal reportedly worth £34 million ($45 million).
The 23-year-old centre-back has signed a five-year contract with the newly promoted Premier League side, becoming the club's second signing of the summer transfer window.
In a statement, Leeds said:
"Muharemovic becomes our second signing of the summer and everyone at Leeds would like to welcome him to the club as we continue our preparations for the 2026/27 Premier League season."
Muharemovic arrives at Elland Road after an impressive campaign with Sassuolo in Serie A, where his commanding defensive displays established him as one of the league's promising young centre-backs.
The Bosnian international is expected to fill the void left by Pascal Struijk, who completed a £20 million move to Brighton earlier this summer.
He joins Wales international Harry Wilson among Leeds' new arrivals after the forward signed on a free transfer from Fulham as the club strengthens its squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
