Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has confirmed he is ready to return to coaching after revealing he has been approached to become Germany's next head coach.
The vacancy arose following Julian Nagelsmann's departure after Germany's disappointing campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking in New York while working as a pundit for Magenta TV, Klopp said the German Football Association had contacted him regarding the role.
"Julian has stepped down and the federation is working on the succession and has approached me during those considerations," Klopp said.
"About two years ago I stopped at Liverpool because I felt I lacked the energy for another job or another year there.
"Since then, I've more than recharged. I'm ready."
