Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, and Colombian pop icon Shakira shared a heartwarming moment ahead of their performance at the historic FIFA World Cup final halftime show.
Burna Boy took to his X account on Friday to post a video of the pair embracing and smiling during rehearsals for Sunday's show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States.
Captioning the clip, the Grammy Award-winning singer wrote: "Sunday Prep! @shakira See you at the @FIFAWorldCup Final! Dai dai, ikó, dale, allez, let's go!"
The video, accompanied by a series of photos, captured the two global music stars sharing laughter and a warm embrace outside the production trailers at the venue.
FIFA had earlier confirmed that Burna Boy and Shakira will perform "Dai Dai," the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, during the tournament's first-ever Super Bowl-style halftime show.
The groundbreaking performance is expected to be one of the highlights of Sunday's final, with reports indicating that the traditional 15-minute halftime interval could be extended to around 30 minutes to accommodate the spectacle.
The extended break is expected to include the usual 15 minutes of match analysis alongside an 11-minute live performance headlined by Burna Boy and Shakira, marking a new chapter in FIFA World Cup entertainment.
