Property belonging to England's national team worth approximately $18,000 (£13,500) was stolen from a vehicle transporting equipment ahead of the FIFA World Cup, according to the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office.
Two men, Mustafa Salik and Erfan Kamal, have been charged in connection with the theft, which occurred while equipment was being transported from England's pre-tournament training camp in Florida to Kansas City.
Despite the incident, the Football Association has insisted that none of the stolen items will affect England's preparations for their World Cup opener against Croatia on Wednesday.
Court documents obtained by BBC Sport reveal that the stolen property included four pairs of football boots, a football, a pair of goalkeeper gloves and several items of training kit.
Also among the missing items were three signed England jerseys, valued at a combined $15,000, accounting for the majority of the total loss.
The authorities are continuing their investigation, while England remain focused on their opening fixture as they begin their World Cup campaign.
