Liverpool F.C. are reportedly in advanced talks over a summer move for Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace F.C..
The 22-year-old midfielder has been one of Palace’s standout performers this season, making 46 appearances across all competitions.
According to journalist Matteo Moretto, Liverpool are pushing ahead in negotiations for Wharton, with the proposed deal expected to be worth around £70 million.
Wharton is believed to be open to a new challenge, and Palace are unlikely to block a move should a suitable offer arrive.
If completed, the transfer would become Crystal Palace’s record sale, surpassing the £68 million Arsenal F.C. paid for Eberechi Eze last summer.
