Atlético Troll Barca With Mock Lamine Bid

0

The story centers on a public social-media spat between Atlético Madrid and FC Barcelona over reports that Barcelona are trying to sign Julián Álvarez this summer.

After reports claimed Barcelona had made a huge opening bid for Álvarez, Atlético responded with a series of sarcastic posts. The most talked-about one was a fake “offer” for Lamine Yamal, joking that they had sent Barcelona a proposal consisting of “four tickets” to a Bad Bunny concert, a newspaper subscription, and a bag of sunflower seeds. The club also posted mocked-up transfer announcements involving Yamal, Pedri and Raphinha wearing Atlético shirts.

Atlético said the posts were a response to what they described as a “smear campaign” and constant transfer speculation linking Álvarez with Barcelona. The Madrid club insists the striker is not for sale and used the parody posts to mock the rumors and media coverage surrounding the situation.

The exchange has highlighted growing tension between the two clubs, with Atlético even publishing a statement criticizing alleged leaks, fake news and public pressure regarding one of their players.

For now, there is no indication that the Yamal “bid” was anything other than a joke aimed at ridiculing the reports about Álvarez's future.
