Burnley have parted ways with head coach Scott Parker just over a week after the team was relegated from the Premier League.
Burnley have struggled badly this season, winning only a few matches and going on a long run without victories, which led to their drop into the Championship. Their poor performances in cup competitions also added to the disappointment.
Parker, who helped the club gain promotion the previous season, said it was the right time for both him and the club to move on. Assistant coach Mike Jackson will now take charge for the remaining games of the season.
