Paul Pogba believes Bruno Fernandes would be a serious Ballon d’Or contender if he played for a dominant side like Manchester City.
The former Manchester United midfielder praised Fernandes as a “top player”, highlighting his work rate, intelligence and ability to influence games all over the pitch. Pogba suggested that while Fernandes already performs at a high level, he would receive greater recognition if he were surrounded by a stronger, more consistent team.
Fernandes has been one of United’s standout performers this season, contributing goals and assists and playing a key leadership role as captain. His creativity and consistency have made him central to the team’s attacking play.
However, Pogba pointed out that individual awards like the Ballon d’Or often depend on team success, saying players are more likely to be recognised when they win major trophies.
