Mohamed El-Shenawy, goalkeeper for Al-Ahly, has been banned for four matches after striking a referee during a game in the Egyptian Pro League.
The incident happened after a 1-1 draw with Ceramica Cleopatra, when El-Shenawy reacted angrily to a penalty not being given. He was also fined for the offence.
The ban means the Egypt international will miss key matches as Al-Ahly chase the league title.
