The Czech Republic have qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 20 years after beating Denmark on penalties in their play-off final in Prague.
Pavel Sulc gave the Czechs an early lead, and although Denmark equalised through Joachim Andersen and later Kasper Høgh in extra time, the game went to a shootout. Christian Eriksen was the only Danish player to score in the shootout, while Tomas Chory, Tomas Soucek, and Michal Sadilek converted for the Czech Republic to seal victory.
Denmark missed two penalties and had another saved, meaning they will miss the World Cup for the first time since 2014, while the Czech Republic return after last appearing in 2006.
