Arsenal’s title hopes suffered a major setback after a shock defeat to Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.
Bournemouth started strongly and took the lead through Junior Kroupi, putting pressure on Arsenal early on. The hosts responded and equalised when Viktor Gyokeres scored from the penalty spot after a handball.
Despite pushing for a winner, Arsenal were caught out when Alex Scott scored in the second half to seal the victory for Bournemouth.
The result means Arsenal miss the chance to extend their lead at the top, while Manchester City now have the opportunity to close the gap in the title race.
