South Africa beat Zimbabwe to book a semi-final clash with New Zealand

South Africa did not look very convincing with the bat but still beat Zimbabwe by five wickets to set up a T20 World Cup semi-final against New Zealand.

Chasing 154, Dewald Brevis scored a quick 42 off 18 balls to steady the innings after early wickets fell. George Linde(30 off 21) and Tristan Stubbs (21 off 24) then guided South Africa home with 13 balls left.

South Africa have now won all seven matches in the tournament and are chasing their first T20 World Cup title after finishing runners-up in 2024.

The result means England, who topped Group 2 in the Super 8s, will face either India or West Indies in the semi-finals.

Earlier, Sikandar Raza took 3-29 and scored a fast 73 off 34 for Zimbabwe, while Kwena Maphaka impressed with 2-21 for South Africa.
