The Senegal government has called for an investigation into possible corruption at CAF after the AFCON 2025 title was taken from Senegal and given to Morocco.
Senegal had originally beaten Morocco 1-0 in the final, but CAF overturned the result because Senegal’s players briefly walked off during a late penalty decision. The match was later awarded 3-0 to Morocco after an appeal by the FRMF.
The Senegalese government strongly rejected the decision, calling it unfair and illegal, while Morocco’s FA welcomed the ruling, saying it supports respect for the rules.
