Sebastian Korda pulled off a big upset by beating world number one Carlos Alcaraz in the third round of the Miami Open.
Korda took control early, winning the first set 6-3 as Alcaraz struggled. In the second set, Korda looked set to win when he served for the match at 5-4, but Alcaraz fought back strongly, breaking serve and taking the set 7-5.
In the deciding set, both players raised their level, but Korda stayed composed. He broke Alcaraz to go 4-3 ahead and then held his nerve to win 6-4, sealing the biggest victory of his career.
For Korda, ranked 36th in the world, it was his first win over a world number one. Meanwhile, Alcaraz said he is still improving and will now focus on preparing for the upcoming clay-court season.
