Manchester United were angry over “astonishing” and “baffling” refereeing decisions in their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
They felt the referee made inconsistent penalty calls — giving one penalty but refusing another for a similar foul on Amad Diallo.
Harry Maguire was also sent off after conceding a late penalty, which Junior Kroupi scored to equalise.
Manager Michael Carrick and captain Bruno Fernandes both questioned why similar incidents were judged differently.
