Liam Livingstone Says he Doesn’t miss it’ as he Criticises England Setup

Liam Livingstone has criticised the England cricket team set-up, saying he does not miss playing for the side that reached the semi-finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

Livingstone has not played for England since the ICC Champions Trophy and lost his central contract last September. The 32-year-old said he only had very short phone calls with England coach Brendon McCullum and director of cricket Rob Key.

He described the Champions Trophy in Pakistan as the worst experience of his career, saying he tried to ask the coaching staff for advice but felt he did not get much support.

Livingstone also criticised the lack of communication from England’s management, claiming he was simply told the team wanted to try someone else when he was dropped.

England, however, say the door is still open for Livingstone to return to the squad, though his place has recently been taken by all-rounder Will Jacks.

Livingstone will now focus on playing in the Indian Premier League with Sunrisers Hyderabad before returning to England to play for Lancashire and London Spirit.
