Jukebox Man confirmed for the Gold Cup by Redknapp

Harry Redknapp’s horse Jukebox Man has been confirmed to run in Friday’s Cheltenham Gold Cup along with 10 other horses.

Jukebox Man, owned by Redknapp, won the King George VI Chase at Kempton Park Racecourse on 26 December and will now try to repeat that success at Cheltenham’s biggest race.

Last year’s winner Inothewayurthinkin, trained by Gavin Cromwell, is also returning to defend the title.

Irish trainer Willie Mullins will rely on Gaelic Warrior as he aims for a fifth Gold Cup win. His main jockey Paul Townend will ride the horse, instead of Mullins’ son Patrick Mullins, who rode it to victory at Grand National Festival at Aintree last year.

Meanwhile, Jango Baie, trained by Nicky Henderson and winner of last year’s Arkle Challenge Trophy Chase, will be ridden by Nico de Boinville.
