World number two Jannik Sinner beat Alexander Zverev for the seventh straight time to reach the Miami Open final for the fourth time.
The Italian won 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) and will face Jiri Lehecka in Sunday’s final.
Sinner is chasing his second Miami title in three years and hopes to become the first player since Roger Federer in 2017 to complete the ‘Sunshine Double’ after also winning Indian Wells this month.
He has been in great form, winning 16 matches in a row at Masters 1000 events and 32 straight sets. Sinner said it has been an amazing run and that beating Zverev was tough, but he played well at key moments.
Earlier, Lehecka beat Arthur Fils 6-2, 6-2 to reach his first Masters 1000 final. He said he is excited but remains focused on doing his best.
