England head coach Charlotte Edwards says the team’s fitness issues have been fully put to bed.
Fitness had been a big concern in the past, especially after England’s early exit from the Women’s T20 World Cup and criticism from former players. It was also discussed again during the Ashes in 2025.
Since taking charge, Edwards introduced strict fitness standards, and she says the players have now improved a lot. “We’re in a really good place and have made real progress,” she said.
Edwards added that the players understand what’s expected and have worked hard to meet those standards, with noticeable improvements in areas like fielding.
