Barcelona moved seven points clear at the top of La Liga with a narrow 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano at Spotify Nou Camp. Ronald Araujo scored from a Joao Cancelo corner in the 24th minute.
Rayo had a few chances, including a near goal for Carlos Martin and a header from Unai Lopez, but Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia and the defense held firm. Raphinha also nearly scored, hitting the crossbar.
The win keeps Barcelona ahead of Real Madrid, who face Atletico Madrid later, and sets up a key league and Champions League clash after the international break.
