Lamine Yamal scored and Marcus Rashford set up a goal as Barcelona beat Albacete to reach the Copa del Rey semi-finals.
The 18-year-old Yamal put Barca ahead just before half-time with his first goal of this season’s competition. Early in the second half, Ronald Araujo made it 2-0 by heading in from a Rashford corner.
Albacete pulled one back late on through Javi Moreno, but it wasn’t enough to stop Barcelona ending the second-division side’s impressive cup run.
Barcelona controlled most of the match, with Rashford heavily involved throughout. The England forward, on loan from Manchester United, helped win the ball before Yamal’s goal and later became only the third La Liga player this season to reach double figures for both goals and assists.
Despite a late scare and a disallowed goal for Ferran Torres, Barcelona held on to secure their place in the last four of the competition.
