Manchester City booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a hard-fought win over Salford City.
The visitors got off to a fast start when Alfie Dorrington scored an early own goal, but City struggled to build momentum and lost defender Max Alleyne to injury in the 22nd minute. Salford threatened several times, with Ben Woodburn forcing a fine save from James Trafford and Brandon Cooper heading wide from a corner.
