Feyi-Waboso ruled out of England’s Six Nations Opener

Immanuel Feyi-Waboso will miss England’s Six Nations opener against Wales after suffering a leg injury in training.

The 23-year-old, who started all four of England’s autumn Tests, picked up the injury during Thursday’s session. Tom Roebuck is set to replace him on the wing for Saturday’s match at Twickenham, marking his first appearance since November after recovering from a toe injury.

England coaches say Roebuck is ready and that the late change will not harm the team’s plans, even though it is not ideal.

For Feyi-Waboso, this is another injury setback in the Six Nations. He missed last year’s tournament with a shoulder problem despite being shortlisted for World Rugby’s Breakthrough Player of 2024.

England head into the competition aiming to win their first Six Nations title in six years, following a strong run of recent results.
