Club Brugge scored a late equaliser to draw 3-3 with Atletico Madrid, leaving their Champions League play-off finely balanced.
Atletico led 2-0 at half-time through Julian Alvarez’s penalty and Ademola Lookman’s goal. But Brugge fought back after the break, with Raphael Onyedika and Nicolo Tresoldi levelling the match.
An own goal by Joel Ordonez put Atletico back in front, but Christos Tzolis struck in the 89th minute to seal a dramatic draw.
The return leg will be played in Madrid on 24 February, with the winner set to face either Liverpool or Tottenham in the last 16.
