Rosenior impresses as Chelsea continue strong run amid Engagement news

0

Chelsea have made a strong start under new boss Liam Rosenior, winning their first two Premier League games after a poor run before his arrival.

When Rosenior took over, Chelsea had won just once in nine league matches. Now, goals from Estevao Willian, Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez earned a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace, lifting the Blues back into fourth place.

The 41-year-old replaced Enzo Maresca four weeks ago after the former coach left following a disagreement with the club. Rosenior, who joined from Strasbourg, watched Chelsea’s last defeat to Fulham from the stands before officially taking charge.

Since then, Chelsea have beaten Charlton in the FA Cup, Brentford in the league, Pafos in the Champions League and Crystal Palace, though they lost to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.

Rosenior is the first Chelsea manager since Graham Potter to win his first two league games, though he insists he is focused only on the job. Chelsea next face Napoli in the Champions League before hosting West Ham at Stamford Bridge.
