Tottenham forward Richarlison will be out for up to seven weeks after suffering a hamstring injury, dealing a blow to Spurs.
The 28-year-old is Tottenham’s leading scorer this season, with seven goals in 21 Premier League matches. His absence comes at a difficult time for the club, who have won just one of their last seven games in all competitions and sit 14th in the league.
Spurs host West Ham in a London derby on Saturday but are coming off an FA Cup exit to Aston Villa. There is some good news, with Lucas Bergvall and Yves Bissouma available again, while Destiny Udogie and Dominic Solanke could return.
Tottenham have also boosted their squad by signing England midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid for £35m, with manager Thomas Frank praising his experience, leadership and energy. Former Everton and Netherlands defender John Heitinga has also joined the club as an assistant coach.
