Liverpool defender Conor Bradley will miss the rest of the domestic season after suffering a serious knee injury in the 0-0 draw with Arsenal.
The 22-year-old was forced off late in the game after landing awkwardly near the touchline. The injury involves bone and ligament damage, but it is not an ACL injury. Bradley is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days.
The setback also puts his World Cup hopes with Northern Ireland in doubt if they qualify. Bradley has been Liverpool’s first-choice right-back this season following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move to Real Madrid.
Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli later apologised for pushing Bradley while he was injured, an incident that sparked a confrontation and drew criticism from pundits.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot now has limited options at right-back, with Joe Gomez, Dominik Szoboszlai, or Jeremie Frimpong possible alternatives.
