Everton ended the game with just nine players after Michael Keane and Jack Grealish were both sent off, as Wolves earned a point at Hill Dickinson Stadium thanks to teenager Mateus Mane.
Everton had taken the lead in the 17th minute when Keane scored his third Premier League goal of the season from close range. But Wolves, showing new fight under manager Rob Edwards, stayed in the game, and 18-year-old Mane scored in the 69th minute, calmly finishing a pass from substitute Jorgen Strand Larsen.
The match turned chaotic in the final minutes. Keane received a straight red card after a VAR review of a clash with Wolves’ Tolu Arokodare, while Grealish was sent off for a second booking due to dissent. Everton had to survive nine tense minutes with just nine men, almost conceding when Jordan Pickford made a brilliant save from Hugo Bueno’s long-range shot.
