Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is set to undergo a medical on Sunday ahead of his £20m move to Manchester City. The 25-year-old England international has already agreed personal terms with the club.
City opened talks this month after injuries to defenders Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias. Guehi, a former Chelsea academy player, has been linked with top European clubs and was close to joining Liverpool last summer.
The Palace captain famously led his team to their first major trophy, beating City in the FA Cup final at Wembley. Since joining from Swansea in 2020, Guehi has made 188 appearances for Palace, including 33 this season as the club competed in their first Europa Conference League campaign.
The transfer is believed to have influenced Palace boss Oliver Glasner’s decision to leave at the end of the season. City have also signed Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth for £62.5m this month.
