The victory sets up a potential final against Arsenal, should the Champions League winners beat Morocco’s AS FAR Rabat. The tournament features continental champions from six regions, with Gotham and Corinthians given byes to the semi-finals. A record $2.3m prize pot is on offer for the winners. Gotham, featuring stars like Rose Lavelle and Jess Carter, will play a third-place playoff after being held to just one shot on target. Corinthians now await the final at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
