Bournemouth have signed 20-year-old Alex Toth from Ferencvaros for £10.4m, with potential add-ons of £2.6m and 10% of any future transfer fee. Toth has joined the Cherries on a five-and-a-half-year deal.
The midfielder, who has nine caps for Hungary, had also attracted interest from Benfica, Galatasaray, and Lazio.
“When I knew Bournemouth were interested, I was excited. This is a great Premier League club,” said Toth.
He has played all his club football in Hungary, including a loan at Soroksar in 2023-24, and made 52 appearances for Ferencvaros, scoring four goals.
Bournemouth’s head of football operations, Tiago Pinto, said: “He comes from a club used to competing at the highest level in Hungary and in Europe. We’re excited about what he can bring under coach Andoni Iraola.”
Toth is Bournemouth’s third January signing, following goalkeeper Fraser Forster and defender Ade Solanke.
