Rio Ferdinand, former Manchester United and England star, has questioned Bukayo Saka’s recent comment that Arsenal is “in control” of the Premier League title race. Ferdinand pointed out that Manchester City, managed by Pep Guardiola, are a formidable team — a “beast” — and are just two points behind Arsenal after 17 games.
Ferdinand suggested that Saka might be speaking too confidently. City were actually above Arsenal on the table shortly before Saka made his comment. Still, Ferdinand added he hopes Saka is right and that Arsenal truly believes they can win the title.
In short, Ferdinand respects Arsenal’s position but warns that City remain a very strong contender for the EPL crown.
