Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo is set to miss about a month after dislocating his left shoulder, the club confirmed on Wednesday. The injury occurred during Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Atletico Madrid, when Olmo fell awkwardly as he scored.
“After undergoing tests, the club has opted for conservative treatment,” Barcelona said in a statement. “His recovery time is expected to be around one month.”
The Spain international, who joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig in 2024, has struggled with several injuries during his time at the club.
Olmo’s absence adds to Barcelona’s growing injury list, which already includes Fermin Lopez, Gavi and goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen. The setback comes at a difficult moment for the league leaders, who face a crucial Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt next week.
